Talisman Bowmen 2026 Mince Pie Shoot

Thursday 1st January 2026

The “First Shoot of the Year” was originally hosted by the RNSCA club. Talisman Bowmen have now taken on running this shoot.

Shooting will be conducted under Archery GB rules, and your attention is drawn to the dress regulations. The tournament will be held in the Sports Hall at Cams Hill School, Shearwater Avenue, Portchester, PO16 8AH. Entry is via the first (exit) gate.

Doors open at 10am for registration, assembly will be at 11am and 2 ends of 3 arrows sighters will be at 11.15am. A current Archery GB membership card must be shown at the point of registration (no card, no shooting).

You will be shooting a Stafford Round of 6 dozen arrows @30 metres on an 80 cm target in ends of 3 arrows on foam bosses. Individual Faces for Compounds.

Trophies and Medals

Trophies for 1st place and medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd in each class.

Refreshments & Facilities

Mince pies and hot chocolate are included in your entry price, and other refreshments will be available.

You will also enjoy free on-site parking.

The Entry Fee is £10 per archer.

Closing date for entries Saturday 20th December 2025.

As we can only accomodate 48 archers, please complete the entry form below and the Club Treasurer will contact you by return to acknowledge your entry and provide payment details. Entries are not confirmed until payment is received.

    1) To take photographs you must register to do so with the tournament registrar. No unauthorised photography allowed. Talisman Bowmen will take photographs on the day for publicity purposes, and these may be used for promotional materials and on our website.
