Archery GB January Postal Portsmouth Competition
You may have seen in the Winter 2015 issue of “Archery UK” (page 58) that Archery GB are running a postal competition. Basically, you need to submit your best score for a Portsmouth round shot in January 2016. There are categories for senior and junior ladies and gents, and bow categories for recurve, longbow, compound and recurve barebow.
It makes sense to make a club entry and Dean, our esteemed records officer, will make the appropriate submissions. If you would like to participate, please e-mail Dean (records@talismanbowmen.com) to register your interest/entry. Then all you need do is go to West Hill on a Monday evening to shoot some Portsmouth rounds, select your best score and pass that on to Dean, making sure he knows it’s your entry for the postal competition, and you’re done – easy peazy.
You can only submit one score per bow type, but there’s no reason why you can’t, for example, shoot a regular recurve round and a recurve barebow round, and submit both scores. Take a look in the magazine for the full details…
