Do you know Sid Street?
A friend of mine has acquired a longbow. You can just about see from my awful photo that it’s inscribed “Made by S.J.Street 48lbs@28” 22290 Talisman”. Martyn remembered Mr Street, but didn’t recall any contact details. Mr Street, and possibly his wife appear, from some longbow records, to have been in the club around 1989-1995. Assuming the “22290” written on the bow is a date the photo shows my friend, Keith, using Mr Street’s bow on it’s 26th birthday on the 22nd Feb just gone. Keith would like to meet the maker of his bow, so if any of you know anything or Mr Street and where he might be contacted please let me (Derek) know. It would probably be nice for the maker of this longbow to know it’s still in use 26 years on!
