The Archie Spooner award is a trophy annually awarded by the Club Chairman to specifically recognise a club member for their outstanding contribution to the club.
This year, the award goes to someone whose skills development provides huge benefits to the club, who has put a lot into getting the remaining club events back up and running and who gives a lot of time to both the club and individual support to many of our members.
As Club Chairman Andy Traves said in his annual report: “I am, of course, talking about Dave Adlam. This last year Dave has given a lot of himself in many other ways to the interests of the club, Strawberry Shoot relaunch, handicaps, sharpshooter and getting juniors and other members into competition shooting. It is important for all clubs that their events are supported and developing/ re-establishing mutual support between local clubs for each others competitions is an essential part of all of us getting back to normal. On behalf of me and all us, thank you Dave and I hope it gives you a lot of pride and satisfaction to see Archie Spooner on your mantle for the next 12 months!”
