Hi All, Just to let you know there are big changes afoot for the Talisman Bowmen website which you’ll learn more about in the next club newsletter but in the meantime, I wanted to just let you know that some content might temporarily disappear or become unavailable over the next few weeks while we get…
Summer Outdoor Shooting Times
From the beginning of May until the end of August outdoor shooting is at the following times, but these dates may be extended if weather permits; possibly to the end of September when the indoor season starts.
Wednesday evenings 6pm until dusk.
Friday evenings 6pm until dusk.
Sunday mornings 10am (end time varies, typically about 12-1pm.)
If you can, please arrive about 10-15 minutes early to help with setting up the field. If you are unable to do this, it is appreciated if you can help with putting everything away at the end of the session. We do appreciate that some people may be unable to assist for a variety of reasons.
Driving on the Field
We will generally try to advise you if it is likely to be too wet to drive on the field, although this may not always be possible. Opposite the Joseph Paxton pub you will see a short driveway with a metal barred gate in a bright yellow metal frame. If the gate is locked the field is too wet for cars, please park on the road.
If it is possible to drive on the field, stop in the driveway to open the padlock on the gate, bring your car onto the field and close and re-padlock the gate, please ensure anyone following you onto the field is a club member You must put your hazard warning lights on before driving on the field. Drive at a slow walking pace keeping the fence close to your left. Follow the fence around to the blue safety rope, then follow that until you reach other members’ cars where you can park.
